The program raises the ESG maturity of suppliers through training, diagnostics, and customized action plans

This initiative is part of AXIA Energia’s ESG Roadmap and also responds to the expectations of shareholders and investors, especially international ones, regarding the socio-environmental development, governance, and integrity of the value chain. The initiative further reinforces the commitment to the goal of training the entire value chain in integrity, aligned with the 100% Transparency Movement (Global Compact – Brazil Network).
The program was structured in an integrated manner by the areas of Compliance, Supplier Relationship Management, Occupational Health and Safety, and an external consultancy responsible for the integrity monitoring tool.
Implementation Steps
101 suppliers were selected for the pilot project, which, for the initial onboarding phase, included awareness-raising activities such as webinars and targeted communications. Of these, 73 joined the Sustainable Community, filling out forms on environmental, social, governance, and sustainable procurement practices.
The responses are being analyzed to jointly develop customized action plans, with goals and deadlines monitored over time.
“The AXIA Energia project gave me the opportunity to see, within my reality, where I can improve, to act in a more ethical and sustainable way.” Sometimes we, as micro-entrepreneurs, don't have this vision, and the project showed me where I have room to improve practices and evolve, and it will be able to guide me in this evolution,” explains Adervan Batista, from North Service Engenharia e Comercio, a maintenance supplier for refrigeration and ventilation machines and equipment.
The suppliers’ Final Assessment considered the weakest pillar, ensuring balanced progress. During the first half of 2026, action plans will be agreed upon and monitored, with new webinars planned to reinforce engagement and expand the program to new supplier groups.
“We view this project with enthusiasm because it has great potential for scaling.” The benefits for both parties are clear and demonstrate our ability to truly catalyze change. We are able to increasingly broaden our perspective on the integrity and socio-environmental aspects of the third parties we interact with, and now we are also able to help them improve these aspects in their operations”, explains Thatiana Martins, Compliance Officer at AXIA Energia.
